Five years ago, I unexpectedly retired, sold my six-bedroom home of 28 years, and moved to a two-bedroom apartment in another state while building a new home in my original state—all during a global pandemic.
Downsizing before the move was a challenge. Once in the new apartment, I had to get creative with storage and organization in a limited space.
Fortunately, organizing comes naturally to me, but I also needed to ensure everything was easy to find and maintain for my ADHD spouse. Just as I had things running smoothly, I moved back to my home state and into the new house, where I had to set up systems again.
Through this process, I realized that many others could benefit from my strategies for creating efficient home setups for people with ADHD.
